Trip to florida reliable car?

i own a bronco ll 1988 thaqt drives pretty decent jus loss of power with 150,000 but i havent owned it more than 2 months i was wondering maybe if i took it to a shop n fixed anything mechanically that it needed or to better it if anyone thinks it'd possibly make it there ? i mean u dont know with any car even a brand new car could brake down.. but im jus iffyy on driving it there so i wanna hear some opinions?
