Need help with a movie idea!!!?

My movie idea is about a small time crook who breaks into a house and while robbing the place he finds a vhs tape inside a safe. He takes the tape out of curiousity. Once back at his apartment he puts the vhs tape that he stole into his vcr and see's himself tied up in the basement of the house he just robbed! Is it really him? How can this be possible? Is this a dream? Or does he just not remember what happened? Where should i go with this? Or should there be something else o the vhs tape? Any ideas are welcome
