Who is correct about salvation... Catholics or evangelicals/fundamentalists?

Yes, Eph.2:8 has it, we are saved by grace through faith. In other words, we are saved by faith alone yet good works and therefore obedience is the fruit of faith. They're tied together, but not in the sense that works are needed to get to heaven.
