How to make a BELT holder for a tunic blouse.?

I made a blouse that has a narrow fabric belt included and I want to know how to make the loops on the side of the blouse that hold it in place. I saw a post elsewhere describing how to make a type of crocheted fasteners for loops for hooks, snaps etc., with thread treated with beeswax and this is along the same lines as what I think I need but not quite right.
