How do i influence my neighbors to listen to "real" music?

heres the story. i had the dark side of the moon prism drawn on the griptape of my skateboard by my friend. when i was skating my neighbor looked at it and said "whats that? are you gay rights activist or something?" i said "no. its from pink floyd." she says "whats that?" my brother gave me a wierd look like "where has this girl been the past years of her life to never heard of pink floyd?" but to make things worse we very easily tricked her into thinking that jimi hendrix was an 10th grader at her school this year. she had no idea who he was. then the came the breaker: we mentioned robert plant and she said "who are you talking about?" "robert plant" " whos that" "vocalist from led zeppelin" "lez zepper? what the hell is with you?" "youve never heard of led zeppelin?!" "no" "WTF?!. what music do you listen to?" she had the nerve to list t-pain, bow wow, akon, among her favorite artist. now im not a hater, and i listen to rap from time to time. artist like 2pac, dmx, brotha lynch hung, nwa and such. but to just flatout never hear about legendary musicians and listen to songs that get play time on the radio and only for as long as the cool people at school listen to them, thats blasphemy. i tried to explain the mucical influence on peoples lives and how important it is to listen to it. but only music that you can relate to and like. never something that you wont pay attention to next week. she didnt care. this really wouldnt be much of a problem, but then i asked some other neighbors the same questions to prove the impact on music these legends made. they didnt know either. this is an epidemic! i have a serious musical crisis on my hands. maybe im wrong. maybe im just another clic-listening prick that pisses people off. but regardless, how do i influence my neighbors to listen to "real" music?
