Catholic baptism - How to quit Catholicism?

I baptized & become a catholic few years back, without knowing what i really want in my life (i follow my mother blindly). I am now realized that my strong belief in Taoism. The church priest & family giving me a lot of non-nonsensical explanation in stopping me from quitting. Is that an official way for me to "de-baptized"? I believe the freedom in religion. Please help!!
